To ensure minimized impact to new gTLD Applicants using the TLD Registration System and the TLD Application System (TAS), ICANN is announcing scheduled TAS system maintenance windows during the 12 January to 12 April application period.
There will be two maintenance windows: Primary and Secondary. The Primary window hours are every Sunday from 00:00 to 02:00 UTC. The Secondary window, used only in circumstances when maintenance in the primary window is not enough, is every Thursday in two hour time blocks defined below. ICANN will endeavor to only perform maintenance during the Primary maintenance window. Applicants are encouraged to log out of the system during both the primary and secondary window hours listed below.
In addition, and only in exceptional circumstance, ICANN may perform emergency maintenance at any time beyond the defined maintenance windows below.
- Primary Window – Weekly, Sundays, 2 hours from 0-2 UTC
- Secondary Window – Weekly, Thursdays, 2 hour windows starting as follows:
- 19 January 2012: 00:00 – 02:00 UTC
- 26 January 2012: 06:00 – 08:00 UTC
- 2 February 2012: 12:00 – 14:00 UTC
- 9 February 2012: 18:00 – 20:00 UTC
- 16 February 2012: 00:00 – 02:00 UTC
- 23 February 2012: 06:00 – 08:00 UTC
- 01 March 2012: 12:00 – 14:00 UTC
- 8 March 2012: 18:00 – 20:00 UTC
- 15 March 2012: 00:00 – 02:00 UTC
- 22 March 2012: 06:00 – 08:00 UTC
- 29 March 2012: 12:00 – 14:00 UTC
- 5 April 2012: 18:00 – 20:00 UTC
- 12 April 2012: 00:00 – 02:00 UTC
