Initial Registration – This phase consists of creating a username and password, and completing the user and applicant profiles. The user can make changes to profiles as long as they have not been confirmed and submitted in TAS.

Profile Submission and ICANN Review Completion – This phase begins after you submit the user and applicant profiles and ends with the ICANN legal review. During this phase of the registration process, no changes may be made directly by you in the Registration system. If you have changes, you must re-register by withdrawing your existing registration and starting over.

Registration Fee Received by ICANN – This phase begins with viewing the Wire Details screen in TAS for the first time and ends with ICANN reconciling the USD5000 registration fee. During this phase, any change request must be sent to ICANN following the steps outlined below:

  1. Contact the New gTLD Customer Service at http://newgtlds.icann.org/en/applicants/customer-service/contact using the email address of the primary contact. Note that the disable request must come from the email address of the primary contact.
  2. Provide the following information exactly as you have entered it in the submitted profiles:
    • Full legal name of the applicant
    • Name of the secondary contact
    • Address of the principal place of business of the applicant
    • Phone number for the applicant's principal place of business
    • Fax number for the applicant's principal place of business
    • Business ID, Tax ID, or VAT registration number, or equivalent of the applicant

Note, depending on the requested changes, the process may require a second legal review and may take up to 1 week to complete.

Application Submission – This phase begins with accessing TAS using your Citrix XenApp credentials through the receipt of the confirmation email from ICANN indicating that we have received your application and USD 180000 evaluation fee payment. Any change request must be sent to ICANN from your New gTLD Customer Service account at http://newgtlds.icann.org/en/applicants/customer-service/contact following the steps outlined above.

Note that the last day to request changes during the registration and application submission processes is 29 March 2012. ICANN will not accept any change request past this date.

Administrative Completeness Check – This phase begins when the application window closes and lasts for approximately 8 weeks. During this phase, ICANN will not accept any change requests.

Initial and Extended Evaluation – This phase begins when initial evaluation starts through the end of extended evaluation, if applicable. During this phase, any change request must be sent to ICANN following the steps outlined above.

Pre-delegation and Contract Signing – This phase begins after an application has successfully passed all evaluation panels and string contention and dispute resolution procedures, if applicable. The process for communicating change requests during this phase will be posted at a later date.
