Application Comments

If you are looking to submit comments on posted application materials, you’ve come to the right place.

Comments may be submitted on an application for an evaluation panel’s consideration, or on an application on one of the four objection grounds.

Comments for evaluation panels

Approximately 2 weeks after the close of the application window, you will have the opportunity to submit a comment on any application for consideration by one of the evaluation panels (String Similarity, DNS Stability, Geographic Names, Technical & Operational Capability, Financial Capability, Registry Services, Community Priority). For consideration by the evaluation panels, the comment must be submitted within a 60-day window from the date application comments open. In the absence of exceptional circumstances, comments submitted outside of this period will not be considered by evaluation panels, but will be available for viewing in the View Comments section of this site.

Comments on objection grounds

During the application comments window, you may also submit comments on any application on the basis of one of the four objection grounds (string confusion, legal rights, limited public interest, community). Please note that comments submitted in this forum WILL NOT be considered as formal objections and WILL NOT by themselves block on application from being evaluated. These comments will be available for viewing by dispute resolution service providers in the View Comments section of this forum.

How and when to submit comments

The application comments system will be available on this page when the application comments period opens. The application comments period will open approximately 2 weeks after the close of the application window.
