An Auction will be facilitated by Power Auctions LLC on 17 December 2014 to resolve string contention for two new generic Top-level Domain (gTLD) strings: BABY and MLS. Eight applicants are expected to participate in the Auction for their respective applied-for string. Within seven days after the completion of the Auction, the results, including a results report, will be posted to the Auction Results page of the New gTLD Microsite. In addition, the Auction Proceeds page will be updated prior to month-end to reflect the proceeds and costs related to the Auction.
The Auction Schedule [PDF, 253 KB] is updated as of 12 December 2014 to reflect eligible contention sets and accommodated postponement requests. In addition, the Planned Auction Dates from March through May 2015 have each been deferred one week as a result of feedback from the community and discussions with the auction provider. Applicants currently scheduled with a March 2015 Auction Date will be directly notified by ICANN of the respective date change.
